Blepharoplasty
Aging in the area of the eyelids and around the eyes

What is Blepharoplasty?
Blepharoplasty is a surgery that corrects changes in the skin caused by aging in the area of the eyelids and around the eyes. Eyelid surgery is not only an aesthetic, but also a functional concern. Sagging eyelids can cause feelings of fatigue, eye pain, tears and headache. Upper and lower eyelids can be treated separately or simultaneously.
WHAT TO EXPERT?
Many individuals choose blepharoplasty to reduce the appearance of bags under their eyes, to eliminate droopy and tired looking eyelids, and to restore peripheral vision that has been impaired by severely sagging eyelid skin.
How surgery is performed?
Same-day procedure, under local anaesthesia. Eyelid surgery consists of the removal of excess skin from the eyelids and the removal of fat. The incision for the upper eyelids will create a scar in the natural crease of the eye, while the incision for the lower eyelid is made directly below the eyelashes. The surgery takes about one hour.
